Welton Rovers Reserves Go top

Firstly I would like to wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

Today I had the choice to photograph either Welton's first team who were away against Bishop Lydeard or Welton Rovers Reserves top of the table clash with Middlezoy Rovers. I decided to pop down to West Clewes and this turned out to be the correct decision. This was a good enjoyable game of football with Welton Rovers Reserves being in full control from start to finish, they came away with a well deserved win beating Middlezoy by two goals to nil, putting them top of the league and still unbeaten so far this season. Well done to the whole team keep up the good work!

As for Welton Rovers first team who fielded a new keeper this week, but sadly still ended up loosing the game by 4 goals to 1. Thinking back to the managers pod cast the other week where he said they would finish in the top eight, I think he needs to be making some changes as they are in 15th place in the league with all bar one team below them having games in hand. As I wasn't there today I can't say a lot but is it not time that the manager tried something different as his plan of playing 4-3-3 formation just doesn't seem to be working.

Welton Rovers first team have Ashton and Backwell at West Clewes on Tuesday 7th Jan kickoff at 19:30, let's hope they can get back to winning ways and take control of the second half of the season.
