Welton Rovers 9th Consecutive Home Clean Sheet

Apologies for being late with this I was at West Clewes yesterday in the cold as winter came to the ground, but if you are a Welton Rovers fan it didn't take long for the side to warm it up a bit with their first goal.

In my opinion there were a few controversies in the game and need to get them off my chest, I asked the ref before the game started if he was any good and he replied with a jokingly no! So that might explain the very poor decision around the brilliant lobbed goal by Jake Slocombe which he disallowed as he pulled it back for a free kick in Welton Rovers favour. To be honest I thought he had an average game. Then there was the issue where the coach tried to make it hard for a Welton player to take a free kick, why do it, his side was loosing to a better side perhaps a moment of madness by the coach, should the Ref have done more?

As for the game Tytherington started well but just seemed to give up after the first goal, just like most seem to be doing against Welton Rovers, which I don't understand as I would have thought all teams would want to be the first team to beat Welton Rovers so they should have a bit of spirt but to me it seems like damage limitation. I am not convinced that the Tytherington keeper was a regular goalie as he didn't always seem very confidant in the goal and spilt a fair few balls to the feet of the on coming Welton Rovers players.

It wasn't the best game of football by any means as Tytherington didn't have a lot to offer, but they did get a couple of strikes on target which the Welton Rovers keeper easily dealt with.

Welton Rovers played well and did enough to win the game easily and deservedly so. I do have to say though that yesterdays win should have been by more as there were a couple of times where the ball should have been squared across to a team mate rather than going for goal, I do hope the manager cracks down on this before it begins to show .
