I have just returned from a very moving day at the cenotaph and as I have said before I am very honoured to be able to parade with some very special people in Blind Veterans UK and this year was even bigger being a 100 years since the finish of the great war. It was also very humbling that within the Blind Veterans UK contingent we not only had the youngest veteran on parade today by the name of Ken Facal we also had the eldest on parade at a mere 103 Ron Freer. I'm sure they won't mind me mentioning them. We did have our doubts about the weather but our CEO Major General Nick Caplin has friends in the right places as the sun came out around 10am and stayed out for the whole parade. Being a member of Blind Veterans UK means so much to me and I am always honoured to be part of these events whether I am taking part or photographing them.
Although I love to take part in the parade I would also love to have the opportunity to photograph it.
