3 goals and another clean sheet

I visited Welton Rovers who welcomed Devizes Town to West Clewes tonight in the Toolstation Western league 1st division. Welton Rovers are on a good run of form at the start of the new season winning their first 3 games in the league and things were not about to change tonight as Welton Rovers should have scored within 44 seconds.

In a game where one team namely Welton Rovers dominated from the start with Devizes having nothing to offer and their keeper seemingly struggling in the evening sun but not wearing a cap it wasn't long before Welton Rovers were 2 goals up thanks to Joe Ellis and Courtney Charles both scoring their first league goals after a fistful of chances early on so at the break it was 2-0 to Welton Rovers.

Into the second half and a few minutes in Chris Pile grabs a goal after some great team football to make it 3-0 the rest of the half was much the same as the first with Welton Rovers dominating the game and finishing that way.

What was also very nice about last nights game was the ripple of applause for the substituted players so perhaps it will get louder as the season progresses. I have a request for the players I have been taking pictures at Welton Rovers for a number of years now and still you turn away from the camera when you score at my end of the pitch it would be great if you could glance at the camera when you score just so I can get some great celebration shots for the papers just like the first picture at the top of this page.
